Huixquilucan provides recreational programs for over 2,000 youths
The municipal government of Huixquilucan has implemented a recreational program benefiting more than 2,000 young people through visits to Sky Zone. The initiative aims to promote healthy social interaction and combat sedentary lifestyles, stress, and anxiety by combining physical activity with entertainment.
Mayor Romina Contreras Carrasco stated that between 2025 and the first half of 2026, the program reached youth from 23 different communities and neighborhoods across the Traditional and Popular zones. The program is supported by socially responsible companies like Sky Zone to ensure these activities do not represent a financial burden for families.
Participants engaged in various physical activities, including using interconnected trampoline courts and foam pits designed for safe acrobatic practice. This program is part of a broader municipal strategy that has, over 11 years through the DIF system, reached over 200,000 children and adolescents through visits to various recreational parks.
