Hull City eyes new contracts and transfer targets as they prepare for Premier League return

Hull City have secured promotion to the Premier League after a 1‑0 Championship play‑off final win over Middlesbrough. The club plan to extend striker Oli McBurnie's deal, offering a new contract that would keep him at the MKM Stadium until June 2028 following his 19 goals in all competitions during the promotion season.

The Tigers are also monitoring midfielder Anto Sekongo, a 21‑year‑old who has impressed at USL Dunkerque. Sekongo is on Hull City's shortlist for a summer signing, though French clubs Lille, Toulouse, Lorient, Rennes and Turkish side Samsunspor – as well as Leeds United – have also shown interest.

The club’s activity reflects a broader effort to strengthen the squad for the challenges of top‑flight football.
