Humain builds Saudi Arabia sovereign AI ecosystem
Saudi Arabian AI company Humain is building a national ‘Sovereign AI’ ecosystem by integrating technology from both American and Chinese firms. During the LEAP 2026 event in Riyadh, Humain announced multiple partnerships to develop a full-stack AI infrastructure.
On the hardware and infrastructure side, Humain is collaborating with AMD and Cisco to expand computing capacity, aiming for a total of 1GW by 2030. Partnerships with AWS and DataVolt will support the development of large-scale data centers, including projects in the Oxagon industrial city.
In the realm of AI models, Humain unveiled the ‘Humain-M3’ Arabic model, developed in collaboration with China’s MiniMax, which has been fine-tuned with over one trillion native Arabic tokens. The company is also working with US-based Reflection AI to deploy models on local infrastructure and has partnered with Microsoft to integrate its ‘Humain One’ platform with Microsoft 365 Copilot. The strategy focuses on utilizing global technologies to establish domestic computing power and localized AI services.
