Río Negro authorities investigate human remains found in Sierra Grande

The Public Prosecutor's Office of Río Negro is conducting an investigation following the discovery of human remains at a former service station in Sierra Grande. The remains, which include a skeleton with hands and feet tied and a head covered by a bag, were found by construction workers during remodeling efforts on October 31.

Forensic teams have recovered the remains and transferred them to Viedma for a complex autopsy. Investigators are utilizing advanced technology, including 3D scanning and forensic light systems, to document the scene. Authorities are currently cross-referencing the findings with missing persons records from Sierra Grande, other Río Negro localities, and the province of Chubut to identify the victim.
