Humanist Association of Germany announces secular youth ritual

The Humanist Association of Germany, Hessen, is organizing information sessions for the 2027 Jugendfeier, a secular coming-of-age ritual designed as an alternative to religious confirmation. The program focuses on helping adolescents navigate the transition to adulthood by developing personal values and social identity.

The initiative includes a preparatory program featuring workshops, seminars, and excursions, culminating in a festive ceremony with family and friends. Information sessions regarding the program will be held on August 28, 2026, via video conference, and on August 29, 2026, in Neu-Isenburg.
