Humanitarian appeals launched for medical treatments in the Balkans
Humanitarian organizations have launched appeals to fund critical medical treatments for individuals facing severe health challenges in the Balkans.
In Pasjan, the ‘Pokreni život’ foundation is seeking donations for Uroš Petrović, a child diagnosed with microcephaly and a rare genetic condition known as oculomotor apraxia type 4. To prevent the loss of speech and mobility, Uroš requires continuous physical therapy, speech therapy, and specialized medical work. His family has exhausted their financial resources to support his ongoing treatments.
In Sarajevo, the organization Pomozi.ba is raising funds for Benjamin Isić, a 29-year-old former junior football player for FK Željezničar. Isić is battling colorectal cancer that has metastasized to his liver, lymph nodes, and lung pleura. He requires immunotherapy costing approximately 52,807 KM for a six-month period, a sum his family cannot cover alone.
