Medical humanitarian appeals in the Balkans
Overview
Humanitarian organizations in the Balkans have launched several appeals to fund critical medical treatments for individuals facing severe health challenges.
In Pasjan, the ‘Pokreni život’ foundation is seeking donations for a child with microcephaly and oculomotor apraxia type 4 to fund physical and speech therapy. In Sarajevo, the organization Pomozi.ba is raising funds for a former football player battling metastasized colorectal cancer, specifically for immunotherapy costs.
Following these efforts, Pomozi.ba also launched an appeal for a ten-month-old boy in Sarajevo diagnosed with penoscrotal hypospadias. Because local medical professionals advised that the condition cannot be adequately treated within Bosnia and Herzegovina, doctors recommended surgeries at a urological center in Belgrade.
