Humanoid robotics expand with new production in Serbia and maintenance services in Japan

Developments in humanoid robotics are gaining momentum in both Serbia and Japan. In Serbia, the Chinese company Minth, in partnership with AGIBOT, has opened a production facility in Šabac. The initial phase of the project involved a 20 million euro investment, with a long-term goal of producing up to 20,000 humanoid robots and robotic dogs annually. The facility currently operates an assembly line for the assembly, calibration, and testing of robots.

In Japan, GMO AI & Robotiks Korp has announced the introduction of specialized vehicles, termed ‘GMO humanoid ambulances,’ to provide emergency maintenance for humanoid robots in Tokyo. These vehicles will carry engineers and tools to repair malfunctions. This follows recent experimental projects in Japan where robots have been utilized for luggage transport at Haneda Airport and services at railway stations as part of a broader government push for domestic artificial intelligence development.
