The second World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing concluded with significant athletic milestones achieved by humanoid machines. The Tiangong Ultra robot, developed by the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, set multiple records, most notably winning the 100-meter final with a time of 8.64 seconds. This performance surpasses the human world record of 9.58 seconds set by Usain Bolt in 2009.

Throughout the five-day event, the Tiangong Ultra demonstrated rapid progression, recording times of 9.39 seconds and 8.86 seconds in earlier rounds. The center also reported that its robots broke human records in the 400-meter dash (38.15 seconds), the 1,500-meter run (2 minutes 21.64 seconds), and the high jump (2.88 meters).

The competition featured over 2,000 humanoid robots from 666 teams participating in 51 diverse events, including soccer, boxing, dancing, and industrial tasks. While the event showcased advancements in mobility and balance, some incidents occurred, such as robots crashing into barriers or experiencing mechanical failures. Experts noted that while track performance is improving, the next challenge for humanoid robotics lies in autonomous operation within complex real-world environments like factories and warehouses.
