Hunedoara approves 10 million euro funding for Corvinul 1921 stadium

In Hunedoara, the Local Council has approved a 25% co-financing contribution for the construction of the new Corvinul 1921 stadium. The municipality's contribution is estimated at approximately 10.3 million euros, part of a total project valued at 54 million euros. Demolition of the existing stadium is scheduled to begin this autumn, with construction of the new arena expected to start in January 2027.

In the Romanian Cup, FC Bihor drew 2-2 against CSM Corona Brașov. Despite leading twice through Alexandru Boiciuc and Ioan Hora, FC Bihor conceded late goals, including an equalizer in the 87th minute. Coach Erik Lincar expressed frustration over the team's lack of efficiency in front of the goal.
