Vietnam police facilitate return of accidental bank transfers

Several incidents in Vietnam have highlighted the role of local police in resolving accidental bank transfers. In Hung Yen province, a man reported receiving 10.17 million VND in his MB Bank account that was mistakenly sent by a resident in Ca Mau due to a typing error in the account number. Authorities coordinated between the two provinces to ensure the funds were safely returned.

In another instance, a resident in Can Tho City received 107 million VND from an unknown source. After reporting the matter to the Vi Thanh Ward Police, the recipient cooperated with authorities to return the full amount to the original sender in Dong Nai province.

Additionally, in Tra Giang, Hung Yen, police assisted in returning 205.6 million VND to a construction materials company after it was mistakenly transferred to a local man's account. In all cases, the recipients proactively contacted the police to ensure the funds were returned legally and safely.
