Hung Yen police prosecute three for illegal drug trafficking

Authorities in Hung Yen province have prosecuted three individuals for illegal drug trafficking and possession. Lương Đức Võ and Lê Văn Doanh face charges for illegal drug trafficking, while Nguyễn Văn Tiến has been charged with illegal drug possession.

The investigation began on September 15, when police caught Lương Đức Võ in possession of narcotics. Seized items included approximately 43.44 grams of heroin and 6.18 grams of methamphetamine. Võ admitted to purchasing the drugs from Lê Văn Doanh for 85 million VND with the intent to sell smaller quantities to local addicts for profit.

Following the investigation, Doanh submitted a confession and surrendered the illicit profits to the authorities. Additionally, police determined that Võ had sold drugs to Nguyễn Văn Tiến and three others between September 10 and 14. Tiến has since surrendered a portion of the unused heroin to the police. The case remains under investigation.
