Criminal investigations in Hung Yen province

Overview

Authorities in Hung Yen province have prosecuted three individuals for illegal drug trafficking and possession. The investigation began on September 15 when police apprehended Lương Đức Võ with approximately 43.44 grams of heroin and 6.18 grams of methamphetamine.

Võ admitted to purchasing the narcotics from Lê Văn Doanh for 85 million VND with the intent to sell smaller quantities to local addicts. Following the investigation, Doanh submitted a confession and surrendered the illicit profits. Police also determined that Võ had sold drugs to Nguyễn Văn Tiến and three others between September 10 and 14. Tiến has since surrendered a portion of the unused heroin to the police. The case remains under investigation.
