Hung Yen police prosecute watch store owner for counterfeit goods

Hung Yen provincial police have initiated criminal proceedings against Pham Van Duong, owner of a watch and eyewear business in Dong Hung commune, for infringing on industrial property rights.

Following an inspection conducted by the Economic Security Division and Market Management Team No. 9, authorities discovered 2,134 counterfeit wristwatches. The seized items represented 18 product types across 10 famous brands, including Rolex, Omega, Tissot, Casio, Rado, Orient, Longines, Seiko, and Hublot.

The total value of the counterfeit merchandise is estimated at over 490 million VND. Pham Van Duong faces charges under Article 226 of the Penal Code regarding the infringement of industrial property rights.
