Hungarian cultural festivals announced for late 2026

Hungary will host two distinct cultural festivals in late 2026. In Balatonalmádi, the second Oktobeer Fesztivál is scheduled for October 1–3. Held at the Pannónia Művelődési Központ parking area, the event features Bavarian-themed food, beer, and live music.

In Pákozd, the XVII. Honvédfesztivál will take place from September 26–29, commemorating the 1848 Battle of Pákozd. The festival includes historical reenactments ranging from the era of Andrew I to modern defense forces. Activities include cavalry demonstrations, a hussar camp, laser shooting, and obstacle courses. The Katonai Emlékpark Pákozd will offer free admission and guided tours on September 26, with official commemorations and wreath-laying ceremonies scheduled for the following days.
