Hungarian festivals Szamárfül and SZIN begin in Pécs and Szeged
Several major festivals are commencing in Hungary. In Pécs, the Szamárfül Fesztivál, a prominent family and children's festival, begins this Friday at the Zsolnay Cultural Quarter. The three-day event features musical performances by artists such as Vilmos Gryllus, Ági Szalóki, and the duo Eszter Bíró and Dániel Varró. The program includes interactive AI robotics workshops, puppet theater shows from the Bóbita Puppet Theater and Illaberek Puppet Theater, and various activities like bubble making and crafts.
Simultaneously, the SZIN festival begins in Szeged at the Újszeged Partfürdő. This four-day event features over 200 performers across 11 music stages and includes a cinema program with 12 film screenings. This year, the festival is supporting the ‘Talpra Sanyi!’ initiative, which aids the rehabilitation of Sanyi, the founder of Gypo Circus. Attendees can contribute to this cause through donations or by donating the value of returned bottles.
