Hungarian inquiry committee targets 65 individuals in abuse probe

A Hungarian parliamentary committee investigating executive abuses has released a work plan targeting 65 individuals for oral or written statements. Led by László Toroczkai, the committee aims to examine the development of the enforcement system dating back to the 1990s.

One of the five primary investigation topics is the Schadl case. The committee intends to summon György Schadl, former president of the Hungarian Judicial Enforcement Officers' Association, Pál Völner, former deputy justice minister, and Antal Rogán, former head of the Prime Minister's Cabinet Office, for oral testimony. Other individuals slated for questioning include Ádám Nagy and entrepreneur Róbert Rehák.

The investigation also covers the operations of the Ministry of Justice and the Supervisory Authority for Regulated Activities. For this topic, the committee seeks oral statements from former and current officials, including Judit Varga, Tibor Draskovics, Tibor Navracsics, László Trócsányi, and Bence Tuzson. Several other former ministers and state secretaries are also listed for questioning, while some individuals, such as Ibolya Dávid and Ágnes Czine, are requested to provide written reports.
