Hungary's New Citizen Participation Platform to Launch August
The Hungarian government is preparing to open a new online platform for social participation at the end of August. Designed for every citizen, the system will move beyond simple questionnaires to immersive, interactive discussions. Users will be able to follow topics of interest, receive notifications about new consultations, and see the impact of their contributions.
Responses will be processed by artificial‑intelligence tools that generate summaries for experts, while the public can track which proposals gain support and which reach decision‑makers. The platform aims to make civic engagement transparent, traceable and genuinely collaborative. As Radnai Márk explained, “We are working on something that could fundamentally change societal consultation in Hungary.”
