Hungarian opposition blames government of policy drift and unclear direction

The Democratic Community of Vojvodina Hungarians (VMDK) criticised the Vojvodina Hungarian Party for lacking a coherent political strategy, saying its attempts to maintain relations with multiple parties demonstrate uncertainty rather than strength. The statement called for predictable and consistent representation of the Hungarian community.

A German newspaper analysis linked the "gold convoy" scandal to a broader test of Hungary's new leadership under the Tisza Party. The report said the government is attempting to dismantle former Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's legacy, restore rule of law, separate powers, ensure press freedom and recover public funds, while institutions such as the Mathias Corvinus Collegium face reductions.
