Hungarian PM Peter Magyar slams former justice minister, warns of media‑driven politics
Prime Minister Peter Magyar used his Facebook post to criticize former justice minister Tuzson Bence, accusing him of intimidating prosecutors, investigators and judges instead of seeking a competent defence lawyer. He recalled Tuzson's earlier remarks that officials involved in the current system would be held accountable.
In a televised discussion, politicians such as András Schiffer, Dóra Dóra and Gábor Szécs argued that Hungarian politics has become a “reality‑show” dominated by social‑media logic, noting that a temporary shutdown of Facebook would cripple governmental functions. They highlighted the erosion of substantive parliamentary debate and the need for a national minimum in policy making.
