Hungarian political polling shows slight shifts for Tisza and Fidesz

Recent polling data indicates minor shifts in Hungarian political preferences, with both the Tisza Party and Fidesz-KDNP experiencing slight decreases in popularity within the margin of error. According to research released by the Republikon Institute, Tisza's support among the total population fell by 2 percentage points, while Fidesz-KDNP saw a 1 percentage point decline, leaving the standing at 56% to 19% in favor of Tisza.

Among party voters, Tisza maintains a significant lead at 66% compared to Fidesz's 23%. Analysts suggest that Tisza's rapid growth may be reaching a plateau, potentially entering a period of consolidation. Meanwhile, Fidesz-KDNP continues a slow decline, which researchers attribute to internal uncertainty regarding leadership.

In contrast, the Mi Hazánk party showed signs of growth in August, increasing its support among the total population and party voters by 2 percentage points to 7% and 8% respectively. While not yet a direct alternative to Fidesz, the party appears to be benefiting from the current political climate. The proportion of undecided voters has also risen to 16%.
