Hungarian political polling shows Tisza decline and Mi Hazánk growth
According to the August Europion public opinion poll, the Tisza Party has seen a decline in support. For the first time since the polling series began in May, Tisza's support among the general population fell below 50 percent, and its support among party voters dropped below 60 percent, standing at 58 percent. Among certain voters, support remains above 60 percent, though this marks a 3 percentage point decrease from July.
In contrast, the Fidesz-KDNP coalition has stabilized its position. Support among the total population rose slightly from 20 to 21 percent, while support among party voters increased from 24 to 25 percent. Among certain voters, the level remained steady at 25 percent.
The Mi Hazánk movement showed the most significant growth, reaching double-digit support across all measured groups. Support among the general population rose from 8 to 10 percent, while support among party voters increased from 10 to 12 percent. The data suggests that Mi Hazánk may be benefiting from the shifts in the Fidesz voter base.
Regarding individual politician popularity, Dávid Vitézy leads the government-aligned politicians with 52 percent support, slightly ahead of Péter Magyar at 51 percent.
