Hungarian polls show declining support for Tisza and Fidesz
Recent opinion polls from Republikon Intézet and Europion indicate a slight decline in support for both the Tisza Party and the governing Fidesz–KDNP in Hungary.
According to Republikon Intézet, Tisza's support among the total population fell by 2 percentage points, while Fidesz–KDNP saw a 1 percentage point decrease. Despite these shifts, Fidesz–KDNP maintains a significant lead in the polls at 56% compared to Tisza's 19%. Among certain voters, Tisza remains strong, holding approximately two-thirds of the support.
Europion's data suggests a trend of normalization for the Tisza Party, noting that its support among the total adult population dropped to 47% in September, down from 49% in August. This represents a 5 percentage point decrease from its peak in May and June. While Tisza's support has weakened, the data shows that neither Fidesz nor Mi Hazánk has significantly capitalized on this shift. Meanwhile, the proportion of non-partisan individuals has risen to 18%.
