Hungarian rail services disrupted by accident and maintenance

Rail services in Hungary are facing disruptions due to both an accident and scheduled maintenance.

On the S74 line, train services between Nyergesújfalu and Lábatlan have been suspended following a collision between a train and a motor vehicle near Nyergesújfalu felső. Replacement buses have been deployed to connect several locations, including Esztergom, Komárom, and Lábatlan.

Separately, replacement buses will operate between Vésztő and Szeghalom from October 19 to November 6. This disruption is due to planned infrastructure work on the Püspökladány-Kötegyán line, which involves replacing an 1891 brick arch bridge with a modern reinforced concrete structure to improve long-term load capacity.
