Among “sure” voters, 68 % would choose Tisza and 23 % would back Fidesz, while the Fidesz party itself retains roughly 19 % overall support.

The decline follows the hurried nomination of Justice Minister Judit Polgár as a presidential candidate, a move that many voters criticised for lacking the promised societal consultation. Only 22 % of respondents thought the government’s swift reaction to the vacant presidency was appropriate, but awareness of the issue was high – 97 % had heard that a new president must be elected and 94 % knew Polgár had been proposed for the role. The poll was commissioned shortly after Sulyok Tamás signed a constitutional amendment ending the presidential term.

The smaller right‑wing Mi Hazánk party saw its support rise to around 7 %, while the rest of the electorate remains largely unaligned.
