Hungary announces nominees for 2027 Car of the Year awards

The Autós Nagykoalíció (ANK) has opened the eighth edition of the "Év Magyar Autója" (Hungarian Car of the Year) competition, with nominations accepted until 30 September. The first nominees have been revealed.

Key entries include the Audi Q3 built in Győr, nominated for the main prize, and the electric Mercedes‑Benz C‑Class produced in Kecskemét. Additional electric models from Mercedes‑Benz – the GLB in the family‑car category and the GLC competing for the Green‑Car award – are also in the running.

The award evaluates cars assembled in Hungary, giving weight to the proportion of locally sourced parts and domestic development. The professional jury, which includes Bertalan Gábor, Biró Csongor, Csordás Gábor, Gulyás Péter and László Ferenc, will decide further categories in spring 2027 when the winners are announced.
