Hungarian foreign minister Anita Orbán, acting on a proposal signed by President Sulyok Tamás, announced the termination of 25 ambassadorial assignments. The dismissals cover senior diplomatic posts in Washington, Brussels, Moscow, London, Belgrade and other capitals, as well as heads of mission to NATO, the United Nations and other multilateral bodies.

Among the ambassadors recalled are Takács Szabolcs Ferenc (Washington), Kovács Tamás Iván (Brussels and Luxembourg), Konkoly Norbert Attila (Moscow), Kumin Ferenc (London) and Magyar József Zoltán (Belgrade). The decree, published in the Hungarian Gazette on a Friday evening, also removed representatives to Oslo, Bratislava, Prague, Kyiv and a range of posts in Africa, the Middle East and the Pacific.

The ministry said the changes are part of a broader professional renewal aimed at strengthening Hungary’s diplomatic effectiveness and international advocacy.
