Hungary opens new summer beach parks in Sándorfalva and Budapest

On June 13 the Nádastó Szabadidőpark in Sándorfalva, near Szeged, opened for the season. The launch featured a regional motorbike meet organized by the Dél‑Blokk Motoros Egyesület, drawing an estimated 300‑400 riders from across the country.

A few weeks later, on July 1, Budapest’s Duna‑fürdő Árasztó‑part river beach reopened for public use. The site now offers a new stairway, beach furniture, showers and toilets, and a lifeguard service, with entrance fees announced. The municipality also continues to study a future river swimming pool project.
