Hungary's Lake Balaton and Tisza Lake draw tourists with top ice‑cream spots and outdoor attractions

The Balaton Tourism Association released a list of the ten highest‑rated ice‑cream parlours around Lake Balaton, compiled from TripAdvisor guest reviews. The top three are Füredi Fagyizó in Balatonfüred, Bringatanya in Gyöngyösd, and Florida Fagyizó in Balatonmáriafürdő, all of which have earned the Travellers’ Choice distinction. Other venues on the list include Geleta Cukrászda (Balatonlelle), Levendula Kézműves Fagylaltozó (Tihany), Bagaméri Fagylaltozó (Balatonfüred) and several cafés in Siófok and other lakeside towns.

Meanwhile, Tisza Lake is promoted as a family‑friendly destination offering hidden beaches, marked cycling routes, nature trails, a fish‑pass canal, a kangaroo park, a protected bird reserve and pet‑friendly swimming areas. The area features the Tisza Balneum Hotel with spa facilities and a range of activities such as SUP tours, cycling between Poroszló and Tiszafüred, and wildlife observation at the Kenguru Park. Both lakes are highlighted as key summer attractions for domestic and foreign visitors.
