Hungary's Tisza Party Leads Polls as Fidesz Falls, Politicians Criticize Rhetoric

Member of parliament Németh Zsolt condemned what he called an "indecent tone" used by some Hungarian politicians, citing remarks by Magyar Péter and questioning why Prime Minister Viktor Orbán was not invited to the Tusványos festival. He argued that such language harms democratic discourse.

Recent opinion polls released by Medián and other research centres show the relatively new Tisza party gaining roughly 70 % support, while the long‑ruling Fidesz party’s backing has dropped to about 20 %. Analysts note the figures reflect a post‑election shift and possible recall bias among voters, marking the lowest support for Fidesz since the early 1990s.
