Hunor Kelemen addresses RMDSZ misinformation and senator controversy
Hunor Kelemen, president of the RMDSZ, has addressed several political controversies involving party members and misinformation. Kelemen denied reports claiming he rejected Luca Niculescu for the position of Prime Minister, labeling such claims as “lies” and “disinformation.” He further refuted allegations that he requested only candidates with party membership cards and dismissed rumors of interference from Brussels, Germany, or Hungary.
Separately, Kelemen addressed a controversy regarding RMDSZ Senator István-Lóránt Antal, who was identified on a passenger list for a private flight from Bucharest to Mykonos. The flight included a constitutional judge, former ministers, and business figures. Kelemen stated that Antal had no official party mandate to be on the flight and remarked that the senator “made a mistake,” noting that the composition of the group had no political purpose.
