Hunter Valley Operations faces debate over coal mining future

The Hunter Valley Operations (HVO) continuation project is facing significant debate regarding its economic impact and the future of coal mining in the region. Supporters of the project note that more than 70 per cent of submissions to the Independent Planning Commission have supported the proposal.
