HUTECH launches School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Ho Chi Minh City
Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) has officially created a School of Medicine and Health Sciences as a new unit of the university. The school will begin enrolling students for the 2026 academic year in four programs – medicine (new), pharmacy, nursing and medical laboratory technology – and will later add traditional medicine and dentistry once quality standards are met.
The initiative is led by senior advisor and dean PGS‑TS‑BS Nguyễn Thanh Hiệp, who highlights the school’s focus on leveraging technology, ensuring high‑quality training and fostering responsibility toward students, patients and society. Admissions will use national exam results, school grades and international qualifications such as SAT, ACT, A‑Level and IB, with a 30% tuition scholarship offered to qualifying entrants.
