Huyền Lizzie transforms appearance for new VTV drama

Vietnamese actress Huyền Lizzie is undergoing a significant physical transformation for her role in the upcoming VTV drama, ‘Căn nhà không mái che’. Moving away from her typical portrayals of successful, modern women, she plays Hạnh, a rural vegetable vendor struggling to raise two children following an abusive and debt-ridden marriage.

To achieve the character's weathered appearance, Lizzie lost 4-5kg and utilized makeup to add a birthmark to her face, as directors felt her natural beauty was too prominent for the role of a hardworking, impoverished woman.

In the series, Lizzie stars alongside Duy Hưng, who plays Toản, a widowed driver. The two characters find mutual understanding and connection through their shared hardships. Lizzie expressed excitement about the pairing, noting her admiration for Duy Hưng’s grounded and authentic acting style.
