Hvidovre residents left with abandoned car after police raid

Residents of the Grønnebro neighbourhood in Hvidovre report that an Audi A6 left on Svend Aagesens Allé 10B after a police raid on July 10 remains unmoved. The vehicle, parked on a road designated by the municipality as a fire lane, has its windows smashed and license plates removed, obstructing traffic and preventing the allocation of a handicap parking space.

The municipality has referred the issue to the police, while police officials claim the street is not classified as a fire lane in their system. Neither authority has taken action to remove the car, leaving residents in an “responsibility vacuum.” The municipality has offered to sell underground parking spaces for 750 DKK per month as an alternative.

The situation highlights a dispute over jurisdiction and accountability between local government and law‑enforcement agencies, with no clear resolution offered as of the latest inquiries.
