HYBE is facing online backlash following allegations regarding the song “GRLS” by its new girl group, TUIDE. The controversy began when producer Ricky Luna, who has previously worked with BABYMONSTER, shared an Instagram story comparing the track to a demo he created in April 2026.

Luna expressed concern regarding potential leaks, stating, "I don’t know if it’s coincidence, but I’m starting to think my demos may be getting leaked." While the situation triggered viral accusations of plagiarism against HYBE among netizens, Luna later clarified that he was not directly accusing anyone of stealing, but rather seeking feedback from industry peers about the possibility of his demos being leaked.

Fans of TUIDE have defended the group and its producers, arguing that the music for the upcoming mini-album, "TUNE & PLAY," was likely finalized in 2025, well before Luna's April demo. Supporters noted that the similarities cited may be too generic to constitute plagiarism.
