In the United States, Mazda introduced the CX‑90 plug‑in hybrid SUV, starting at US$50,695 before destination. The PHEV adds a $7,250 premium over the gasoline version and combines a four‑cylinder engine with an electric motor for a total system output of 323 hp and 369 lb‑ft of torque. It offers an electric‑only range of about 27 miles and retains a premium‑feel cabin, though some reviewers note a less refined power‑delivery compared with conventional hybrids.
