Hyderabad announces traffic diversions for Milad-un-Nabi

Hyderabad Traffic Police have announced significant traffic diversions and disruptions in the Old City to accommodate Milad-un-Nabi observances.

For the Milad Un Nabi Jalsa at the AIMIM party office in Darussalam, diversions will be in effect from 6 pm on August 25 to 4 am on August 26. Specific diversions include routes from Malakunta, Begum Bazar Chatri, Mallepally X Road, and Mehdipatnam. Designated parking has been established at the Government Dispensary Hospital in Seetharam Bagh and Rocket Ground for four-wheelers, while two-wheelers may use Agha Dargah, Sardar Baig Dargah, Pan Mandi Road, and SBI Road.

Additionally, major processions scheduled for August 26 will impact 28 junctions between 10 am and 11 pm. Key procession routes include paths from Falaknuma to Volta Hotel, Yahiya Pasha Dargah to Volta Hotel, and Mecca Masjid to Haj House. Affected junctions include Charminar, Gulzar Houz, Purani Haveli, and Nampally. Joint Commissioner D Joel Davis, IPS, has urged motorists to plan ahead and use alternative routes to avoid congestion.
