Hyderabad expands AI and green technology initiatives

Hyderabad is strengthening its position as a technology hub through new corporate headquarters and specialized training centers. KT Rama Rao (KTR) inaugurated the Indian headquarters of Random Trees in Hyderabad, a move expected to create 400 new jobs. KTR advocated for the city to become a global artificial intelligence hub and urged the government to support growth by providing reliable infrastructure and minimizing regulatory interference.

In a separate initiative, the Telangana state government launched the Green Skills and Applied AI Centre of Excellence in Hyderabad. Established by the IT and Industries department in partnership with Microsoft, the 1M1B Foundation, and the MeitY Startup Hub, the center focuses on training graduates in applied AI, sustainability, and green pharmaceuticals. The launch included 100 immediate job offers and the signing of eight memoranda of understanding with various industry partners to facilitate internships and employment in sectors such as solar energy and electric vehicles.
