Lingamaneni Sanjush booked in fatal Hyderabad Aston Martin crash

A fatal road accident occurred in Hyderabad's Madhapur area on August 16, involving an Aston Martin DBX. The vehicle allegedly struck 26-year-old Bharati Mukhi, a sales executive at the Lifestyle store in Inorbit Mall, while she was crossing the road near her workplace. Mukhi sustained severe head injuries and was declared dead on arrival at Apollo Hospital in Jubilee Hills.

Police have identified the driver as 21-year-old Lingamaneni Sanjush, the son of Lingamaneni Ramesh, a Rajya Sabha MP from the Jana Sena Party. Sanjush has been booked under Section 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for causing death by negligence. Due to the nature of the offense, which carries a maximum punishment of less than seven years, police issued a notice under Section 35 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) rather than making an immediate arrest.

Preliminary drug and alcohol tests conducted on Sanjush following the incident returned negative results. However, blood samples have been sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for further analysis. The luxury vehicle has been seized, and a Motor Vehicle Inspector is conducting an examination. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities await forensic and post-mortem reports.
