Hyderabad schools and offices to close for Milad-un-Nabi
Schools, educational institutions, and government offices in Hyderabad and other districts of Telangana will remain closed on August 26 to observe Milad-un-Nabi. The Telangana government has designated the occasion, which marks the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad, as a ‘General Holiday’ in its official calendar.
Preparations for the festival are currently underway across Hyderabad, including religious gatherings and community welfare programs. The Markazi Milad Juloos Committee is organizing the main Milad procession, which is scheduled for August 26. Local activities have already included blood donation drives and are expected to include further welfare initiatives and religious events at mosques and auditoriums throughout the city.
