HYDRAA receives 42 complaints over boundary walls and encroachments

The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) received 42 complaints during its Prajavani grievance meeting on Monday. Residents from various neighborhoods reported issues regarding illegal boundary walls, road encroachments, and drainage problems.

In Kuntloor village, residents of Prajay Gulmohar Colony stated that boundary walls from an older colony are blocking access to nearby plots. While these walls were not an issue when the area was sparsely populated, new residential developments have made them an obstruction. Similarly, the Tellapur G Block Plot Owners Association alleged that approximately 11 acres of roads and parks within an 85-acre layout have been encroached upon.

Other grievances included road encroachments by villa owners in Serilingampally and reports from AGS Layout in Medchal regarding industrial wastewater overflowing into residential areas due to clogged canals. Additional Commissioner D. Anand Kumar reviewed the petitions and assigned them to the relevant officials for resolution.
