Hyogo Prefecture hosts upcoming bread festivals in Takarazuka and Kobe

Various bread-themed festivals are scheduled to take place in the Hyogo Prefecture region of Japan during October 2026.

In Takarazuka City, the ‘E-yan! Pan Marche’ will be held on October 12 at the Takarazuka City Cultural Arts Center. This event supports the ‘community mills kansai’ project, which aims to establish a small-scale flour mill in Hashimoto City, Wakayama Prefecture. The initiative seeks to create an environment where locally grown wheat can be milled and used for regional bread and confectionery. A crowdfunding campaign for the mill has already raised approximately 1.86 million yen from supporters across Japan.

Additionally, the 10th anniversary of the ‘Kobe Pan Matsuri’ is set for October 31 at the Space Theater in Kobe’s Harborland. The festival will feature approximately 15 famous bakeries from Kobe and Hyogo Prefecture. The event includes a lottery for customers, a bread-fishing competition for parents and children, and musical performances by the duo CHONMAGE JAPAN.
