Bakery festivals in Kansai region
Overview
In October 2026, several bakery-themed festivals are taking place across the Kansai region of Japan.
In Hyogo Prefecture, Takarazuka City is hosting the ‘E-yan! Pan Marche’ on October 12 to support the ‘community mills kansai’ project, an initiative to establish a small-scale flour mill in Wakayama Prefecture for local wheat. Additionally, Kobe is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the ‘Kobe Pan Matsuri’ on October 31, featuring approximately 15 bakeries and various community activities.
In Osaka, the 14th annual ‘Autumn Mio Pan Matsuri’ is being held at Tennoji Mio from October 7 to October 26. The event features 17 bakeries, including international participants such as the South Korean brand Kamujapan and the French bakery Maison Kayser. The festival includes a digital stamp rally called ‘MIO AUTUMN BINGO’ where participants can earn points or travel vouchers.
