Hyoyeon to join ‘Contract Marriage’ reality show as MC

Hyoyeon, a member of the K-pop group Girls' Generation, has been announced as an MC for the upcoming reality program ‘Contract Marriage’. The show, a marriage simulation observation reality program, will air on MBC Every1 and KBS Joy starting September 28.

The program features men and women who desire marriage entering into contracts to experience a marital relationship, allowing them to test realistic partnerships and the meaning of marriage. The production team includes PD Nam Kyu-hong, known for his work on dating shows, alongside PDs Na Sang-won and Baek Jeong-hoon.

Hyoyeon will serve as part of the ‘Marriage Interference Team,’ providing analysis and reactions from the perspective of unmarried women. In a recent interview, she expressed excitement about the unique premise of skipping the dating phase to start directly with marriage. She noted that she kept her participation a secret from her fellow Girls' Generation members and mentioned that her honest reactions during filming might require significant editing.
