Høyre party support falls below 15 percent in new poll

A new political poll conducted by Opinion for Altinget and ABC Nyheter shows the Norwegian Conservative Party, Høyre, receiving 14.9 percent support. This represents a stagnation in growth despite a change in leadership to Ine Eriksen Søreide. Notably, the party is seeing a decline among its traditional base, with support among voters over 65 dropping to 11.1 percent.

Political scientist Johannes Bergh from the Institute for Social Research noted that Høyre appears to be losing voters to the Progress Party (Frp), which currently leads with 31 percent support. The data suggests Frp is successfully capturing policy territory previously held by Høyre, including areas of tax and climate policy.

Other party results include the Labour Party (Ap) at 22.8 percent, a 1.1 percentage point increase, while the Red Party (Rødt) stands at 7.8 percent.
