Hytale receives first major content update with Chapter I

Hypixel Studios has released its first major content update for the sandbox RPG Hytale, titled ‘Chapter I: Out of the Breach’. The update introduces a new ‘Chapter’ system designed to provide players with clear objectives and a more structured RPG experience.

A central focus of this update is the introduction of a goblin faction. Players can explore hand-crafted dungeons, such as the Goblin Lab, and encounter various enemies, including elite goblins and bosses like the Feastmaster and the Gobliterator. The update also adds a new biome, ‘The Guttering Hollows’, which features the ‘Void’ enemy type.

New gameplay mechanics include a magic system using Runestones to cast elemental abilities and several utility gadgets, such as the Scrap Drill, Scrap Glider, Rocket Boots, and Hookshot. Additionally, the update introduces ‘Shuffle Jam’, a collection of 12 mini-games including a ‘Prop Hunt’ mode.

The update is available on PC (Windows, Linux, and macOS). Owners of the Cursebreaker edition will receive free Standard editions for each subsequent Chapter release during the early access period.
