Hyundai reveals design sketches for upcoming Bayon SUV

Hyundai has released official design sketches for the upcoming second-generation Bayon, a compact SUV designed as a global model. The new vehicle marks a shift from its predecessor’s hatchback-like appearance toward a more robust, boxy SUV silhouette.

Central to the new design is the ‘Art of Steel’ philosophy, which emphasizes sharp character lines, sculpted hoods, and pronounced fenders. A key visual feature is the ‘H-Edge’ lighting signature. The interior is expected to undergo a significant upgrade, featuring a technology-focused cabin with a digital cockpit that may include dual 12.3-inch screens, similar to the Hyundai i20.

The Bayon is expected to debut in the Indian market in the coming weeks before expanding to Europe and other regions. In Europe, the model is positioned within the B-SUV segment, sitting between the electric Inster and the larger Kona. Potential powertrain options include petrol, CNG, and mild-hybrid engines.
