Hyundai India achieves record August domestic sales

Hyundai Motor India reported its highest-ever domestic sales for the month of August, delivering 54,396 units. This represents a 23.6 per cent increase compared to the same period last year. When including exports, total monthly sales reached 65,796 units, an 8.8 per cent year-on-year increase. However, total sales saw a sequential decline from July due to a drop in exports, which the company attributed to logistical disruptions caused by geopolitical tensions in West Asia.

To maintain momentum, Hyundai is offering significant consumer benefits through September 2026. Discounts vary by model, with the Creta midsize SUV receiving benefits of up to Rs 1 lakh. Other models receiving incentives include the Grand i10 Nios, with benefits up to Rs 70,000, and the i20 hatchback, with benefits up to Rs 60,000.

The company’s future product roadmap includes a new SUV launch expected by late October, followed by several 2027 releases such as a next-generation Creta, a new Grand i10 Nios, and a compact electric SUV.
