Hyundai IONIQ 3 European launch priced in UK, produced in Turkey

Hyundai Motor Company opened pre‑orders for its new compact electric hatchback IONIQ 3 in Europe on July 29. In the United Kingdom the base Advance model with a 42.2 kWh battery is priced at £22,245 (about $29,800) and the top‑end N‑Line Evo costs £31,945. The car will be delivered from late September, with four trim levels offered in the UK and six in the Netherlands.

The IONIQ 3 uses Hyundai’s E‑GMP platform with a 400‑volt architecture, a drag coefficient of 0.263, and two battery options: 42.2 kWh (WLTP range 344 km) and 61 kWh (WLTP range 496 km). Fast DC charging raises the 10‑80 % state of charge in roughly 30 minutes. Hyundai says the model has achieved the highest user‑interest record in the brand’s history.

Production will take place at Hyundai Motor Turkey’s Izmit plant, with serial production slated to start in August 2026. The IONIQ 3 will be the first fully electric Hyundai built at the facility, shortening delivery times to European markets and expanding Turkey’s role in the EV supply chain.
